Give a teammate access

“Give Sam editor access to this space”

People ask how to add someone to a space or project, and with which role. The setting is usually two menus deep.

What Skate does

  1. Opens the space’s settings, then Members.
  2. Finds the person by name.
  3. Picks the role.
  4. Asks you to approve, then presses Add.
  5. Reads the member list and says what it shows.

Checked on the page: Sam Rivera is listed as Editor in this space.

Benchmark run, 29 Sep 2026, on a self-hosted copy of the open-source app, graded by a separate checker that reads saved data. Single runs on apps we built against; on an app we had never seen, the first run completed 10 of 22 goals.

Limit

The benchmark case gave Reader access; Editor uses the same steps with a different role. Existing members only. Sending an email invite is not tested yet. When a user lacks the right to do it, Skate does not yet explain why reliably (0 of 4 boundary cases).
