Privacy policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026. This covers the Skate web app at useskate.com/app and the Skate trial extension for Chrome.

Web app account

When you sign up, we store your email address. If you use email and password, we also store a salted hash of your password, never the password itself. If you use Google, we store your Google account id instead.

We also store your sites, your credit balance and your usage.

Sessions use an HttpOnly cookie. Page scripts cannot read it.

This website

We count page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and does not track you across sites.

If you use the newsletter or video request form, we store the email address, site and note you type, the date, and your country from your IP address. We use it only to send what you asked for. Reply to any email, or write to [email protected], and we delete it.

Trial extension

You sign in with your Skate account. We use its email address to show who is signed in and to count your 10 daily requests.

When you activate Skate on a tab and ask it something, the page’s visible text and controls, and your request, are sent to our server and to our AI model provider (Google Vertex AI). They plan and check the answer.

Skate never reads password fields.

The extension stores your sign-in token in your browser. Sign out in the popup to remove it.

How long we keep it

We keep request logs for 90 days to debug and improve Skate, then delete them. Account details stay until you ask us to delete the account.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.

Delete your account

Write to [email protected] and we delete your account and its data within two working days.
