Free trial

Try Skate on your site.

A Chrome extension puts Skate on any website: open a tab, click the Skate icon and Activate. Skate stays on that tab until you reload it. Sign in with a free Skate account and ask it to do something on the page. 10 free requests a day.

Download the extensionHow to install

No install: try Skate live on a sample app. 5 requests a day. The sample data resets every hour.

What it looks like: a real run on Vikunja, open-source, unmodified. 23 seconds, sped up, no sound.

1. Unzip

Download skate-trial.zip and unzip it. You get a folder called skate-trial. Keep it; Chrome loads the extension from it.

2. Load it in Chrome

Open chrome://extensions, switch on Developer mode at the top right, press Load unpacked and pick the skate-trial folder. Pin the Skate icon from the puzzle menu.

3. Sign in and try it

Open the site you want to try, click the Skate icon and press Sign in to Skate. It opens useskate.com/app, where you sign in with Google or with your email and password. Press Activate on this tab, then open Skate at the bottom right and ask for something.

What it does

  • Runs only on the tab you activate, until you reload it or press Remove.
  • Sends your request and the visible page to our server to plan the next step. Password and card fields never leave the page.
  • Asks before it deletes, sends, publishes, or changes who has access.
  • Does the task, then checks the page: done means the change is there.

Limits

10 requests per account per day, reset at midnight UTC. If the trial is busy for the day, the extension says so; try again tomorrow. A Chrome Web Store version is on the way.
